Kentucky Home Life Insurance Company began as Kentucky Home Mutual Life Insurance Company, in Louisville, KY in 1936.
In the 1990’s, the company merged with National Guardian Life, of Madison, WI. National Guardian organized Kentucky Home Life as a stock company subsidiary in 1998 to process their Credit Life and Disability insurance products. In January of 2005, Kentucky Home Life was purchased by Terry E. Forcht and Farmers Capital Bank of Frankfort. Mr. Forcht later purchased the Farmers Capital Bank share of Kentucky Home Life in 2009 and in August of 2024 the company was sold to its current leadership team.
Today, Kentucky Home Life Insurance Company serves policy owners through independent insurance agents in Kentucky and the company continues to operate out of its home office in Lexington, Kentucky.
